A classic pairing is volcanic Lanzarote with beach-and-surf Fuerteventura (a 30-minute ferry apart), or lively Tenerife with quiet, green La Gomera (under an hour by fast ferry). Ten days to two weeks is ideal for a relaxed two- or three-island trip.
How to hop
Binter and Canaryfly run the short flights; Fred. Olsen and Naviera Armas run the car ferries. You can mix both, fly the longer legs, ferry the neighbours.
