Overview

The nearby Beas River marks the eastern limit of Alexander the Great's conquests in 326 BCE.

Devi Talab Mandir on Nakodar Road is a copy of the Golden Temple at Amritsar. Sodal Mandir stands on Pathankot Road in Laxmi Pura. Strolling is the draw at Nikku Park. Nakodar, 24 km from Jalandhar, has ruins of Kamboh settlements and two old tombs called the Black and Red Domes. The tombs date from at least the time of Jahangir, the fourth Moghul Emperor.
